‘Only 24 hours left to back the film!’ says James Baker, former Royal Marine, 92.

Just had a call from James Baker from Blackpool. A D-Day veteran – 92 on his next birthday – James was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal for his actions on D-Day. The last time I saw him was when I took him to see The Pub Landlord in Liverpool in 2012. On the way back home he sung a whole series of marine songs, some ruder than others. Despite his age and frailty, James is determined to make it to Holland later this week, where he will be reunited with some of his friends from wartime, and where he will sing on the music night. There’s still time, but only just, to back our film about this momentus trip!
