Singing Veterans Fun Palace at The Coach and Horses

If you go down to The Coach and Horses in Soho on Saturday 4th October from 2.30PM, you’ll be greeted by a group of World War II veterans, all in their late 80’s and early 90’s, getting together for a sing-song around the piano at this historic London pub. Expect to hear everything from ‘Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner’, ‘Impossible Dream’, to ‘The Good Life’. The veterans will be on hand to share their tales about singing in wartime, especially if you buy them a nice pint of ale. Songsheets will be provided, so no excuses if you don’t know the words.

THE COACH AND HORSES, 29 Greek St, LONDON, W1D 5DH

Organised with thanks to the London Taxi Benevolent Association for the War Disabled. This event is part of the Fun Palace weekend, a national celebration of the arts, sciences and culture on the 4th and 5th October 2014. http://www.funpalaces.co.uk
